Magic Master 2.0 — Mastering That Finally Sounds the Way It Should

We tore the mastering engine apart from the ground up and built the thing we'd been wanting for a while: a track that sounds confident not just in headphones, but after AAC, Opus, and Spotify's loudness normalization. No big promises — just an honest upgrade you can hear from the first listen.

What Changed in the Engine

True Peak per ITU-R BS.1770-5

True Peak is like looking at your audio through the eyes of a streaming service. We used to rely on sample peaks — the peaks visible inside individual samples. After AAC or Opus encoding, "invisible" inter-sample peaks could surface and clip. Now we measure true peaks with 8x oversampling (BS.1770-5 recommends higher ratios) — more precise than most streaming checklists.

Adaptive LUFS Compensation

The LUFS compensation coefficient now automatically adapts to the signal's crest factor:
- Acoustic/jazz (crest > 15 dB) — gentle compensation (k=0.65)
- EDM/hip-hop (crest < 10 dB) — aggressive compensation (k=0.92)

The result: precise hits on the target LUFS without over-compressing quiet tracks.

4th-Order Linkwitz-Riley Crossovers

We replaced Butterworth crossovers with Linkwitz-Riley — a flat sum at the crossover frequencies. No -3 dB dip where bands meet, no phase artifacts.

Dynamic EQ (8 Bands)

An 8-band parametric EQ with an envelope follower on every band. It only kicks in above a threshold, which makes it significantly more transparent than a multiband compressor. Enabled for the Metal style.

Sub-harmonic Synthesis

A 40-80 Hz sub-harmonic generator for EDM, Trap, and House. Adds "weight" to the bass without overloading the low end.

M/S Dynamics

Independent compression of the Mid and Side channels. Lets you compress the center (vocals) and the sides (stereo width) differently.

Extended Reverb

8 comb filters for hall, theater, and cathedral algorithms (up from 4). A denser, more natural reverb tail.

Pre-export True Peak Safety

Guarantees the output stays at or below -1.0 dBTP on every export. Even if the limiter lets a peak through, a safety net catches it.

The Target-LUFS Guarantee — Unconditional

The final push to your target loudness happens at the very end of processing on every mode: regular mastering, custom chains, auto-mastering, batch processing and the Telegram bot. Pick −9, get −9.0. How we got here →

De-clipper — Fixing Clipping Before Mastering

Every uploaded track is automatically checked for clipping (a common problem with Suno/Udio exports and hot DAW bounces). Flattened peaks are reconstructed with cubic interpolation, and the track passport shows an honest note about it. Details →

Album Mode for Batch Processing

The loudest track of your album is mastered exactly to the target LUFS while the rest keep their original relative loudness offsets — a quiet interlude doesn't get blown up to single-level loudness, and the arc of your release survives.

The Intensity Slider

One control from "softer" to "denser" (0.5x–1.5x) scales the genre's compression amount. Loudness stays untouched — only the character changes. Details →

Post-Codec Sound Check and the Track Passport

After mastering we decode the already-encoded file (MP3/AAC/Opus) and measure its true peak — you see what streaming will actually sound like, not just the WAV. The track passport shows tonal balance, a loudness graph across the whole track, and a quality radar.
