A soft tape exciter, velvety midrange and comfortable loudness that preserves vocal nuance — R&B mastering by Magic Master 2.0.
R&B is a genre where nuance matters more than loudness: vocal melisma, warm bass and soft dynamics create an intimate atmosphere. Magic Master 2.0 takes R&B to −12 LUFS — noticeably quieter than pop or hip-hop mastering, to preserve the micro-dynamics of vocal phrasing and avoid squeezing the emotion out of the track.
The engine uses a soft, tape-like exciter instead of an aggressive digital one, adding harmonics that sound analog and warm rather than harsh. Multiband dynamics gently control the low end and midrange without killing the natural loudness swings within the vocal part, while parallel compression adds density without losing the "air" around the voice.
