WAV is the uncompressed distribution standard accepted by every platform and distributor. FLAC is the same audio, lossless, 30–50% smaller — perfect for archives and Bandcamp. MP3 320 is for quick sharing; avoid it for final distribution.
Direction matters too. FLAC to WAV and back is lossless both ways. A WAV made from an MP3 won't bring back what MP3 compression already discarded: bigger file, same sound.
16-bit WAV output gets TPDF dithering — without it quiet tails pick up audible quantisation artefacts. Peaks are checked against the −1 dBTP ceiling and corrected gently if needed so platform codecs won't clip. The response shows the file's LUFS and true peak — you instantly see if it's streaming-ready.
Up to 5 files a day per address, 100 MB per file. The converter never consumes your free mastering — the limits are separate. Files are not stored.
