Magic Master 3.13: Clipping Repair, Downloads and Stems

Release 3.13 is about getting your result to you intact: no clipping in the sound,
no downloads that break off halfway, and no archives lost because a tab was closed.
Almost everything here came from your emails and feedback — thank you for writing.

Clipping repair

Clipping means the peaks of a track have been cut off: the waveform hits the ceiling
and goes flat. You hear it as harshness and grit on loud parts. Until now, mastering
only noticed clipping right at the ceiling. A track that was turned down afterwards
or saved as MP3 passed as clean.

• Clipping is found at any level — at the ceiling, in a track that was turned
  down, and after MP3 or M4A encoding.
• Peaks are rebuilt from the surrounding audio, so the clipping becomes much
  softer. Nobody can fully restore a heavily clipped recording, and we don't promise
  to.
• Free check. On the De-clipper
  page, drop your file — no account and no tokens needed. The check shows how many
  clipped spots the track has. If there are any, one click opens the file in the app.
• A hint when you add a file. The app checks the file itself. If it is clipped
  and the chosen loudness is above the safe level, it suggests −14 LUFS, so mastering
  does not cut the peaks off again.
• The bot tells you too. The /analyze command in the
  Telegram bot reports whether the file is
  clipped.

The repair is part of regular mastering — 1 token per track, with no extra charge.

Downloads that finish

• The ↓ button in your profile history works again. Since late July it did
  nothing for anyone, because of a bug in how the button was built. We apologise to
  everyone who tried.
• The browser saves a large WAV itself. Before, the page first loaded the whole
  file into itself. On a slow connection the download broke off, and the error said
  the file "did not finish uploading to the server". Now the result goes through the
  browser's own downloader, with progress in the downloads panel.
• The file keeps your name, including non-Latin names, instead of turning into
  underscores.

The same fix applies to the beta version and to the dashboard.

Stems: an honest time estimate

Splitting a track into vocals, bass, drums and other used to promise "about 1.5 times
the track length". In reality the neural network takes about 4 times the length of
the track. People waited the promised minutes, decided it had frozen, and left
seconds before it was done.

• The screen shows how long is left, and the bar moves.
• You can close the tab. The finished archive stays in your
  profile for 24 hours, in the new Stems card.
• A second click does not charge a second token. While one separation is
  running, a new one does not start — the page simply shows the one in progress.
• The archive downloads as a regular link, so 80 MB no longer break off halfway.

If you split a track in the last few days and did not get the result, write to
support@magicmaster.pro and we will sort it out.

Small things

• A site update no longer interrupts your work. If a file is chosen or
  processing is running in a tab, the page no longer reloads itself after we update
  the site.
• The password reset link also arrives in Telegram if it is linked to your
  account.
• The Unsubscribe button in our emails works in one click, right in your mail
  app.
• For developers and services: the developers page
  now lists volume pricing, and AI agents can find the mastering server description
  at the standard address.
