Vocal remover online — free
Upload a song and the AI splits it into voice and music: you get an instrumental (backing track) and an acapella. Nothing to install, no sign-up for guests: 2 tracks a day for free.
What it does
- Splits a song into voice and music. One run gives you two WAV files: an instrumental without vocals and the vocals without the music.
- Uses a neural network. This is not the old channel-subtraction trick: the separation model (Demucs) recognises the voice by its sound, so the music stays intact.
- Free, no sign-up. Guests get 2 tracks a day, a free account gets 3 a day. No card needed.
How to make a backing track in 3 steps
- Open the “Vocal and instrumental” mode — the button above takes you straight to it.
- Upload your song — WAV, FLAC or MP3, up to 200 MB and up to 7 minutes. Processing takes a few minutes, roughly 4 times the track length, and the screen shows how much is left.
- Download the result — the instrumental and the vocals as separate WAV files.
What a backing track is for
- Karaoke at home — sing along to a favourite song even when no backing track exists.
- Practice for singers and music-school students — hear the accompaniment without someone else's voice and work on your own part.
- Covers — a base for your own recording when the original backing track cannot be found.
- Remixes and DJ acapellas — the vocals on their own for a mashup, remix or DJ set.
Questions and answers
How do I make a backing track online for free?
Open the “Vocal and instrumental” mode, upload a song and download two files: the instrumental and the vocals. Guests get 2 tracks a day without signing up, a free account gets 3 a day.
How can I remove the voice from a song online in good quality?
The result comes as WAV, with no extra MP3 compression. The final quality depends on the source: the cleaner the recording, the cleaner the instrumental. Dense mixes can leave faint vocal traces — that is a limit of any separation algorithm.
Which formats and song lengths are supported?
You can upload WAV, FLAC or MP3 up to 200 MB. A song can be up to 7 minutes long. The result downloads as WAV.
How long are files kept and who can see them?
The finished archive is kept for 24 hours and then deleted automatically. You can download it within that time.
Can I publish a backing track of someone else's song?
Not without the rights holder's permission. The service is meant for your own files and personal practice: home karaoke, rehearsal, learning parts. Publishing or distributing other people's backing tracks is your responsibility.
Can I split a song into vocals and instrumental, and into separate instruments?
Yes, both. The “Vocal and instrumental” mode gives you voice and music, and the “All tracks” mode splits the song into four files: vocals, drums, bass and the rest.
The backing track is in the wrong key for my voice. What now?
Shift the key of the backing track by the number of semitones you need in the key changer tool, which opens on a separate page.
