Magic Master 3.15: Free Vocal Remover, 2–4× Faster Stems

2026-10-10 ·

Version 3.15 is our most tool-packed release in a while. There is a free
vocal remover, stem separation is several times faster, and loudness now
follows one simple rule: you pick the platform, we hit its level. Plus a few
fixes you can hear in the bass and in the stereo image.

Free online vocal remover

Want to sing your favourite song at karaoke, record a cover or pull out an
a cappella for a remix? Upload the track on the
vocal remover page and a neural
separation network gives you two files: vocals on their own and the
instrumental on its own. Both are WAV, no extra compression.

  • 2 songs a day with no sign-up. A free account gives you 3 a day. No card
    needed.
  • Remove drums or bass. Need a drumless backing track for practice, or a
track without bass so you can play the part yourself? There is a page for
    that: remove drums or bass.
  • Key changer. Song too high or too low for your voice? The
    key changer shifts it by
−6…+6 semitones while the tempo stays the same. Save as MP3 or WAV.
  • One flow. After separation, a “Change the instrumental key” button opens
the instrumental in the key changer — no downloading and re-uploading.

Stems 2–4× faster

A 4-minute song used to take about 11–13 minutes to separate. Now it is
usually 3–8 minutes. Two separation jobs run in parallel and never wait
behind mastering jobs — even at peak hours your instrumental is not stuck
behind someone else's album.

Loudness follows the platform

Before: the loudness of your master depended on three things at once — the
platform, the genre and the AI advice. It was hard to tell why a track came
out at the level it did.

Now it is simple:

  • The platform sets the loudness. Spotify −14 LUFS, Apple Music −16,
Club −9 and so on. What you pick is what you get.
  • Genre and AI advice change the sound, not the loudness: tone, density,
    character.
  • Exceptions keep their own target: speech, podcast, audiobook and the
“Already loud” preset — their loudness is part of what they are for.
  • No surprises. If your track is already louder than the chosen platform,
you see “The track will get N dB quieter” before you start, with two
buttons: “Club / DJ −9” or “Already loud” if you want a loud result. And if
the chosen target is louder than the AI advice, the app asks you to confirm.

Why quieter is fine: streaming platforms level loudness anyway. A track that
is too loud simply gets turned down — and its squashed peaks stay squashed.

AI cleanup and mastering in one run

Tracks from Suno and Udio no longer need two passes. Cleanup and mastering
run together, and in the new design it is one switch:
“Also clean AI artifacts” — free, nothing extra on top of the master.

  • Download the cleanup as MP3 or FLAC. MP3 is about 4× smaller than WAV —
handy for sending in a messenger or listening on your phone.
  • Honest about the trade-off. Cleanup removes generator traces from the
sound, but pitch shifts by 7 cents — barely audible, and we tell you upfront.
Cleanup does not promise, and does not try, to hide that a track was made
    with AI.

More honest restoration

  • Hum removal only when there is hum. Before, it could kick in on a clean
recording and take a little of the low end with it. Clean recordings now
    stay intact.
  • Zero means off. The strength slider at zero really turns the module off
instead of leaving it working “a little”.
  • See what was done. The report shows how many clicks were found and how
    many were repaired.

Cleaner bass, safer stereo

  • No more bass dips on low notes. The lowest-frequency filter was cutting
twice as much as intended, so low 808 notes sagged. Fixed: the low end is
    even across the whole range.
  • Wide tracks are no longer widened. If the stereo is already wide, we
leave it alone. Less collapse when the track is summed to mono on a phone or
    a portable speaker.

New upload formats

On top of WAV, MP3, FLAC, M4A, OGG and AMR, you can now upload AAC,
AIFF/AIF and WebM
. WebM is what your browser records your voice in: record
it and send it straight to mastering.

Questions and answers

How many vocal removals are free?

Without an account, 2 songs a day; with a free account, 3 songs a day. Vocals and instrumental come as separate WAV files.

Why can my master be quieter than the original?

Loudness is now set by the platform you choose: −14 LUFS for Spotify, −16 for Apple Music. If your source is louder, the app tells you by how many dB the track will get quieter before you start, and offers the “Club / DJ −9” platform or the “Already loud” preset if you need a loud result.

Does AI cleanup hide that a track was made with AI?

No. Cleanup removes typical generator traces from the sound — ringing, watery highs, smeared attacks. It does not hide where the track came from. Cleanup shifts pitch by 7 cents, and we say so openly.
