What changes in the sound
- A 40 Hz – 11 kHz band. The deepest lows and the highest highs are cut, so the sound gets softer and rounder than a digital recording.
- Bass below 120 Hz in mono. The lows sit in the centre, as on records, where wide bass makes it hard for the stylus to stay in the groove. Mids and highs stay in stereo.
- Light saturation. A quarter of the signal goes through soft tape-style saturation, so the sound gets denser and warmer, and the top above 3 kHz is slightly softened.
- Slow speed drift. The speed moves by 0.15% about 0.4 times a second, like a turntable that is not perfectly steady.
- Noise and clicks. Quiet hiss at about −66 dBFS and rare short clicks.
When the vinyl sound works
For acoustic songs, soul, jazz, indie and retro pop, when a digital track sounds too sterile. Mono bass keeps the low end tight, and the softer top takes the harshness away.
If you only want a hint of vinyl, set the amount to 30–50%: there will be fewer clicks and less noise, and the warmth stays.

What to do next
Questions and answers
Why does the bass become mono?
That is how records sound: wide stereo bass makes it hard for the stylus, so it is folded to the centre. The preset does the same below 120 Hz; mids and highs stay in stereo.
Are there a lot of clicks?
No, they are rare and quiet. If they bother you, lower the amount: the clicks get quieter along with the rest of the processing.
Is it free?
Previewing the first 25 s is free and needs no sign-in; free previews per day: 20. The full version costs 1 token per file and needs a sign-in.
Can I make the effect lighter?
Yes. The Amount slider blends the processing with the original from 0 to 100% in 5% steps. At 30–50% you keep a light touch of the medium; at 100% you get the full preset.
Should I master it afterwards?
If the version goes to streaming platforms, yes. The preset does not even out loudness; it only keeps peaks under 0 dBFS. Mastering brings the loudness to the platform's target and keeps the era's character.
