Magic Master 3.16: DAW pack and tempo alignment

This release adds three tools for people who build tracks in a DAW: a project pack made from stems, tempo alignment for AI tracks, and online song trimming. Below is what each one does, what is free and what costs tokens.

DAW pack

Splitting a song into stems gives you tracks: vocals, drums, bass and the rest. Now the same result can be turned into a pack for your DAW.

• Free in the stems archive: WAV tracks, a tempo.mid file with the tempo grid, and a text guide README_DAW.txt.
• 3 tokens for the DAW pack: REAPER (.rpp) and DAWproject projects (opened by Cubase 14.0.20 and newer, Studio One / Fender Studio Pro, and Bitwig), plus MIDI notes when they are found in the track.

Keep the WAV tracks next to the project when you open it in the DAW: the project links to them. If the tempo does not match in the DAW, the README explains what to do, and the tool below can help with tempo problems.

The pack is available from the separation results and in the new interface. Guests cannot build the pack: sign in first.

Tempo alignment for AI tracks

Music generators build a track without a grid: beats drift slightly and the tempo changes from bar to bar. You may not hear it, but in a DAW clips, drums and loops start to drift.

The Align tempo tool (page) makes a track with a steady tempo:

1. Upload a track: WAV, MP3 or FLAC, up to 100 MB and 10 minutes.
2. Press "Align tempo". You can set a target BPM. If you leave it empty, the track's average tempo is used.
3. Download the 24-bit WAV: the new tempo is already in the file name.

The pitch does not change, and the first strong beat lands on the start of the bar. The cost is 1 token, charged only after a successful result. The processed file is kept for 24 hours.

Trim a song online

The trimmer needs no sign-up and costs nothing. Choose the start and end of the fragment, optionally add a fade-in and a fade-out, press "Listen to the fragment" to check the edges, and download the result.

• WAV is cut right in your browser: the file is not uploaded anywhere.
• MP3 is converted on our server and is not stored.

WAV, MP3, FLAC, OGG and M4A up to 100 MB are accepted. A fragment of about 30 seconds with a fade-out at the end is a handy way to make a ringtone.
